Welcome to Rowdy Dog Rescue!

We are a small Santa Barbara based organization composed entirely of volunteers who are dedicated to saving as many dogs as we can from kill shelters throughout Southern California. Once our dogs are pulled to safety, they are examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and placed into temporary foster homes while they await adoption.

Rowdy Dog Rescue relies on donations from the public in order to stay in operation. We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and registered with
the CA Attorney General. Our federal tax id number is 45-2749848.

Adopt A Dog

Adoption literally saves lives! By adopting one of our rescued pups, you enable us to pull another at-risk dog from a high kill shelter. Please take a look at our available dogs and let us know if you have any questions. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, simply complete an online application and we'll make arrangements for you to meet the dog in person. Or, you can also meet our dogs at any of our adoption events.

Foster A Dog

Foster homes are vital to our mission. Since we don't have a physical location, we rely on fosters to provide temporary homes for our rescued dogs. The more fosters we have, the more dogs we can save. In addition, foster homes provide a more appropriate environment for learning and growth than a place like a shelter or kennel.
